AsMICs Grateful Response to Mission for the Poor
AsMICs Grateful Response to Mission for the Poor
AsMIC Foundress Mother Delia Tetreault said, “It is not enough to thank God in words but to translate our gratitude into actions…”
It is the best response we can give as Associate Missionaries of the Immaculate Conception (AsMICs) to the call of Pope Francis’ Mercy and Compassion 2015 Year of the Poor; we are reminded to give more attention and care to our least fortunate brothers and sisters in their needs not only physically but also spiritually. Some AsMICs got involved in different apostolic movements in the parish while others served in the mission of the school as teachers and office staff members. The group visits the new outreach area GKK (BEC) San Roque Ceboley, Pahamotang, City of Mati once a month, giving catechesis and serving snacks to more than one hundred (100) children from 4-12 years old. They are entertained with short presentations and games by selected members of Young Associates of Mother Delia Tetreault (YAMDT).
The sharing revealed that “Every time we do this activity we go home filled with joy for we have shared to others our life of thanksgiving to God.” On November 22, feast of Christ the King, a one-day recollection of the AsMICs was held to prepare themselves for the renewal of commitment on December 8, 2015. The members encountered greater peace with God and one another through the Sacrament of Reconciliation followed by the Eucharistic Celebration and Agape meal, with the MIC sisters joining in all the activities. In the afternoon, the AsMIC birthday celebrants were feted with a moving and heartwarming prayer service prepared by AsMIC Michelle, with a soul-searching prayer prepared by Sr. Fely, MIC. The activity culminated with the AsMIC Life Assessment as a fitting preparation for the renewal of commitment on December 8, 2015, Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. 3rd Pablo anniversary commemorated
Kahinumduman nga niadtong panahona, giampo ang Oratio Imperata to avoid Calamities adlaw-adlaw.
