26th Anniversary Of Diocesan Charismatic Movement
The whole diocese of Mati vibrantly celebrated the 26th anniversary of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement (CCRM) on November 22, 2015. Members from different parishes flocked to the St. Therese Gym, Clergy House Compound, Madang, Mati City to celebrate it.
The morning was dedicated to beautiful and angelic songs of praise and thanksgiving and a solemn invocation of the Holy Spirit. At 10:30 AM, Apostolic Administrator Fr. Edito S. Baño, presided over the Eucharistic Celebration. In the afternoon, numbers from different parishes were presented. Action songs were sang while children and youth alike danced on stage. CCRM diocesan director Fr. Philip Dimalanta gave the keynote address to all those present, encouraging them to motivate the other parishes to activate their members. Before the closing of the gathering, CCRM diocesan coordinator Sr. Edith Tayko of the Living the Gospel Community thanked all the members. She also announced that Lupon Parish would be the next host for the Year 2016 gathering. The celebration ended with vibrating and fiery songs to the Holy Spirit.
2nd DUMA FESTIVAL
Ang MASIPAY Mindanao Provincial Consultative Body – Province of Davao Oriental nag-organisa sa 2nd DUMA Festival ubos sa tema “Duma…gasa ug kinabuhi sa katawhan”.
Kini gipahigayon niadtong November 20, 2015 didto sa St. Scholastica’s Enfide Institute, Crossing Bigue Dawan, Mati City. Ang tumong sa maong panagtigum mao ang paghatag og dakong importansya sa mga DUMA isip pagkaon labi na sa mga panahon kon diin adunay mga kalamidad nga dala sa nagabag-o nga klima or climate change. Magsilbi usab kini nga venue alang sa pagpa-ambit sa mga kasinatian sa pagpananum ug paggamit sa duma.
Ang Provincial Consultative Body–Davao Oriental maoy usa ka kahugpungan sa mga grupong mag-uuma ug NGO mga membro sa MASIPAG Mindanao ug mga partner institution nga nagpalapnag sa organikong pagpanguma sa Davao Oriental. Regular kini nga nagatigum matag tulo ka bulan aron maghisgot sa mga kalambuan sa organikong pagpanguma aron mamahimong panig-ingnan sa uban. Gihisgutan usab niini ang mga problema ug isyu sa pagpanguma aron magtinabangay sa pagpangita og kasulbaran. Ang kalihokan gipaluyuhan nila Coordinators Noel B. Salazar ug Sr. Ma. Aurora Bravo, OSB.
MOST REV. PATRICIO H. ALO BIRTHDAY TOURNAMENT
Priests and civic members of the St. John of the Cross Tennis Club, Clergy Compound, Madang, Mati City, held the traditional “Bishop Pat Alo Birthday Tennis Tournament on November 28-29, 2015, in honor of his 76th birthday on December 2, 2015, sponsored by Mayor Carlo P. Rabat and Vice-Mayor Glenda R. Gayta.
Bishop Emeritus Pat witnessed the tournament and expressed appreciation for all who prepared the sports fest and dinner in his honor. On the first day, the renowned healing priest Fr. Fernando Suarez, played tennis, not as competitor, but as guest. He had recently celebrated the healing Mass at the Divine Mercy Shrine and Parish. On the second day, the players gave their best and the champions were awarded trophies and cash prizes. The champions were as follows:

The champions for Class B: Nicolo Rabat and Ading Cero
The champions for Class C: Victor Olario and Rogem Cabueñas
For Participants ages 50 above

Then there was a special raffle for all participants of the tournament. Those whose numbers were called were given consolation prizes. A delicious meal was shared by everyone with advanced Happy Birthday greetings to Bishop Pat. Bishop Pat’s new residence will be near the St. Camillus Hospital property.
