St. Pio center prepares for another fundraising event

The St. Padre Pio’s prayer group in St. Joseph Parish, Santa Cruz is preparing itself for the December Red and Green Christmas party. This will be the second social event that they will be hosting as a way of raising funds for the completion of their project which is the construction of the prayer center and event hall. Again this festivity is to be participated by the Diocesan members of the said group.

It is remembered that the same group held the dinner for a cause themed “Carribean Nite” last Sept 19, 2015 at the Mansion of the late Dominador Bendigo Jr., Brgy. Zone III in Sta Cruz. The event was a huge success. The Caribbean-inspired decorations all over took the interest of the guests and the participants. The food, songs and dances had everyone enjoyed and savored the theme of the night.

The St. Pio’s group, headed by its founder and coordinator Bro. Edgar Canda, AJC (Apostle of Jesus Crucified Congregation) has been coming together for prayer meetings, recollections, and celebration of masses. Edgar had a personal encounter with the apostle of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, Italy in the person of Fr Calixton Deimos, AJC. (Joe Marie H. Cordero | Sta. Cruz)
