Whom Will I Vote For?

A lot of people already asked this question several times. Whenever I sensed the sincerity of the question, my indirect sincere answer has been, “I will not participate in the elections by voting because I don’t believe there will be a clean, honest and credible elections.” Their answer has been, “I understand” which was a happy surprise.

This reply made me realize that there are people who follow the news reports about several petitions filed at the Supreme Court against the COMELEC regarding the PCOS machines and many others regarding its decisions. They know everything in the social media and coffee shops rumors. They have the ability to find the truth about governance and big business and some in the oligarchy.

A reliable source has told me that for the Administration, the Liberal Party and the supportive business tycoons the 2016 national election is already over! Everything has been done to assure victory. The electoral process, if there is one, would only be a formality, so the secret info goes.

The next question they asked, “so what happens now?” My answer was and still is, “We wait. We watch. Events are happening fast. We must understand the meaning of the events, the forces and the persons behind them. These events can lead to social upheaval. Peaceful or violent revolution is possible.”

The “We” here refers to the members of the National Transformation Council where I belong. Also waiting and watching are several civil society groups and certain active and retired officers of the Armed Forces and the Philippine National Police.
