The Family and Life Apostolate

NATURE
The Family and Life Apostolate is an archdiocesan pastoral agency which addresses the concerns & issues of marriage, family and life through evangelization, education, and formation. It has two main apostolates: a) Family and Marriage Ministry and b) Pro-Life Ministry.
VISION-MISSION STATEMENT
Distressed by the overwhelming breakdown of family values and widening of influence of the culture of death, we envision a center of family and life volunteers and workers in the Archdiocese of Davao as an agent of renewal and evangelization of Christian families witnessing the sacredness of human life, in obedience to the will of the Father inspired by the Holy Spirit, following the example of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
We commit ourselves by the grace of God:
- To build a domestic church
- To support and sustain family and life structures and programs in the parishes
- To continually form and equip volunteer workers
- To promote the sanctity of marriage and the value of life through tri-media
- To educate the youth in Christian sexuality
PROGRAM|ACTIVITIES
Monthly
- Every 1st Saturday of the month
- Meeting|On-going formation (FLA Coordinators, Program Lead Couples, PSKBs, and vicariate heads.)
- 3rd and 4th Saturday of the month – Vicariate visitation
Yearly
- Pro-life Month Celebration – February
- FLA and PSKB assembly – July
