The Claretian Basilan community, commemorated the 15th year of the martyrdom of Fr. Rhoel Gallardo, May 3. It was a two-day reminiscing of the heroic life of Fr. Rhoel in Tumahubong Basilan. The event was attended by Bishop of Basilan, Most Rev. Martin Jumaod, DD. He presided the mass with different Claretian communities in Mindanao.

“We are one with PACMAN! We refuse to be TKOed. Though we fall, we will rise and rise again. The courage of Fr. Rhoel Gallardo, CMF will be multiplied and our faith will not waver. It’s already 15 years of his martyrdom and still the cross stands in Basilan. We salute you Fr. Rhoel! Thank you for sharing your life to the Church. Your blood becomes the fountain of inspiration to all of us Christians especially to the Claretian congregation! Long live PACMAN and highest regards to all the martyrs of the Church…” (Bro.
