Will Easter bring about Changes in our lives?

Easter is here again. We all know its deep meaning: God in Jesus rising to new life three days after dying on the cross. With His help we too can experience new life, a rebirth, after dying to our sinfulness. This personal change can affect changes in our socio-eco-politico-cultural life. We bring personal beliefs and moral values into these relationships.

This help was offered us for 40 days of Lent and 3-day-celebrations of the suffering, death and resurrection. Our daily sufferings, deaths and resurrections due to the newly acquired will power and self-control is our living of the paschal mystery in imitation of Jesus. This is always possible because Jesus is mysteriously alive today.

Let us ask Jesus, the Prince of Peace and His Mother Mary the Queen of Peace, for the grace of renewed faith to see Him in each other, especially in the children, the needy poor, in nature, in our liturgical celebrations and in those who struggle in a non-violent way for justice, peace and system change.
