Feast of Miraculous Sr. Sto. Niño Celebrated
Davaoeñeos gathered at the Holy Infant of Jesus, Matina, Davao City, to joyfully celebrate the feast of Sr. Sto. Niño carrying their statues and offering flowers as an expression of their faith.
Devotees patiently waited by falling in line just to touch the Sr. Sto Nino and offer their sincerest prayers. A lot of them brought their families especially the sick, shared different stories about the miracles that happened to them, and dressed their statues of the Sr. Sto. Niño with various outfits.
“Dako kog pasalamat kay Sr. Sto Nino kay wala ko niya biyai sa oras nga ako nanginahanglan ug giluwas ko sa panahong nagkasakit ko sa niaging tuig,” Rose, a devotee, said.
“Blessing kaayo ni sa amoa. Ginahatag gyud niya among mga pag-ampo ug naa siya para mo giya sa amo matag adlaw,” Esther, a devotee, said.
“Mga balation sa akong pamilya, pag i-ampo nko ma ayo gyud. Ing ani ka miraculo si Sr. Sto. Niño,” Georg, a devotee, said.
This shows how Sr. Sto. Niño helped the people and he has the power to create miracles through answered prayers.
Along with the Sinulog at Cebu city to celebrate the feast of Sto. Niño, the devotees in Miravine, Marapangi 2, Toril, Davao City also celebrated the Sinulog, Viva Pit Señor Sto. Nino carrying with them the replica of Sto. Niño raising and shouting “Viva Pit Señor Sto. Niño.”
