DOLE offers 7,000 jobs on its 81st anniversary

DAVAO CITY- 7,000 jobs will be offered in the 81st Anniversary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional office this December 8.

DOLE XI Director, Joffrey Suyao announced during Kapehan sa Davao press conference at SM City Davao Annex last December 1, that the main event of the 81st anniversary celebration will be the job fair which will start at 9:00 AM Abreeza Mall Activity Center.

With the high rate of unemployment in the city, DOLE will continuously provide opportunities for people who seek for employment in accordance with their theme, “Higit pa sa tagumpay at reporma ang DOLE mas makabuluhan, mas nadarama.”

There will be at least 79 local and foreign agencies and employers participating in the said job fair. And with the total number of 7,000 job vacancies, 2,500 of it would be for the local employment and 4,500 are for overseas employment.

Based on the current job vacancies DOLE have for the job fair, the top five local jobs are: customer service representative/ call center agents (Outbound/ Inbound), marketing staff, production crew, machine operator and supervisor (Production, Hotel, Clubhouse, Front Office, Operations, Marketing)

The top five in-demand jobs for overseas employment are laborers, elderly care attendants, waiters or waitresses, handicapped care technicians and factory workers.

Their other activities may include the one stop shop that presents Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), SSS, PHIL-HEALTH,PAG-IBIG, NBI, NSO, DFA, DILG (Kasambahay Bill), NRCO and ECC. They also had a Mini Job Fair and PHIL-JobNet On Line Registration on December 2-6, 2014 at 10 AM – 6 PM. And a Pre-Employment Seminar for Local Applicants will take place at the PESO Davao City Office every Wednesdays & Fridays and every Tuesdays & Thursdays for December 2014.
