IIREF celebrates family day

The scholars and alumni of the Ignatian Institute of Religious Education Foundation (IIREF) gathered for its Family Day last 7, 2014, at the Teresian Daughters of Mary Retreat House in Matina.

Bearing the theme “Mother Mary as Mother of God: Perfect Exemplar of Feminine Genius”, the activity started with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist officiated by its Executive Director Father William Malley, SJ.

Participated by more than a hundred of IIREF scholars and alumni, they were grouped into four teams who competed the series of Filipino games which was won by the red group Team Pamplona.

Filipino games overwhelmed the entire IIREF family.

After the fellowship, the students of Theology 212 (Ecclesiology) class under Sir Joel Belano made their presentation of the Theophany of the ‘calling of the first disciples’ inspired by Luke 5:1-11. The presentation made the IIREF Family Day meaningful to the Theologians of IIREF.
