God Works in Mysterious Ways
“That moment was my turning point. I never expected that we would experience financial instability thinking that both of my parents were working in the government at that time.”
Dear KNOT,
My family belongs in a middle class. My mother is a government employee in DENR while my father is already a retiree who is also formerly employed in DENR. I have two siblings. My elder sister is already a graduate of nursing and currently working in Kuwait as assistant nurse while my younger sister is now in fourth year high school.
I could still remember when all of us three went in the same school. I was in fifth grade when I first realized that God does exist.
One morning, I was startled with the noise outside of the bedroom. My mind as half-awake but I could still understand what they were talking about.
My parents talked about the bills that are needed to pay. My mother was so bothered because there was nothing left in our savings. The tension got higher when we received notice of disconnection in electricity plus the proprietor of our house was already charging for our rent.
I immediately sought God for help because I was raised to be religious and faithful and I know God will never leave us in the middle of this obstacle.
The next morning, a client called my mother asking for help about her lot. My mother accepts land surveying because she works in DENR and it’s also our source of income. It was an answered prayer. God heard us and he used instruments in order to send help.It was then I realized that we need God. He is the source of our life and he is our redemption to our problems. Let us always be grateful for what he has done for us.
