Relics of St. Rita of Casia visit CDO

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—The Archdiocese of Cagayan is now set to receive the relics of St. Rita of Casia this month.

Also known as saint of the impossible and desperate cases, St. Rita will visit the San Agustin Cathedral here from August 11 to 13.

The Archdiocese of Cagayan will welcome the reliquary-image through a Eucharistic celebration at 5:30 pm on August 11. It will be followed by another Holy Mass with a healing session and blessing of roses. The general public will have the chance to venerate the relics after the Mass.

On August 12, a Holy Mass with healing session will also happen then followed by the veneration of the image.

On the last day, a Farewell Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 am and the relics will depart for the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental. (@johnfrancesf)
