GKK Sta. Teresita sa Batang Hesus Celebrates 18th Annual Fiesta

There was once a beautiful little girl who at 15 years old had her wish come true. At age 15, she was allowed to enter in the Carmelite Monastery. This little girl is now known as Sta. Teresita sa Batang Hesus or St. Therese of the Child Jesus. She is the Patron Saint of the Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK) of Sta. Teresita which is located right at the Sta. Teresita Village along Km. 7, Cabantian Road, Davao City under the jurisdiction of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish.

The GKK celebrated its 18th Annual Fiesta Celebration last October 12, 2024. The novena took place from October 3-11, 2024 at 7:00 o’clock in the evening. The novena was headed by PSL, Noel Flores. On the last day of the novena was the procession. The image of Sta. Teresita was placed on top of a wooden pedestal carried on the shoulder of two young boys.

The theme for the this year Patronal Fiesta celebration was “Sta.Teresita sa Batang Hesus, panig-ingnan sa usa ka batang ma-alagaron. ma-inantuson ug puno sa gugma nga nagahulagway sa usa ka sulondon nga piniyalan”. The Fiesta Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Boy Roland Ong Resident Priest of St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish.

PSK Nenita A. Osorio, with the all out support of her life partner, Ricardo, can ably steer the GKK, inspiring the rest of the GSLs to move, animating stagnant members.
