Good morning, and welcome to the launch of the Archbishop Thibault Media Awards (ATMA) formerly known as the Davao Catholic Mass Media Awards (DCMMA).

We are truly honored to host this event today as we believe in recognizing the profound impact the media has on our community. The media touches lives, influences values, voices the truth, and shapes the mindsets that guide our society. Its role extends far beyond simply reporting the news—it is a powerful force for bringing positive change, upholding principles, and strengthening our collective commitment to justice and morality.

It is important to recognize and honor media practitioners who contribute to society with integrity, accountability, and faith.

Today, we come together with one goal, to celebrate excellence in media, acknowledging the high standards demonstrated by exceptional skills, creativity, and dedication in their work to make a meaningful difference in our world.
