Praying for our Children’s Married Life

Most of us know that married life is never a bed of roses. Married couples undergo a lot of challenges every now and then. Since many couples tie the knot every month of June, let us hope and pray for a blissful married life for those couples who plan to be wed this month.

Considering the common tradition in the Philippines of getting married in June, it is also important for us as parents, to pray for our children’s future married life as early as possible. While we have always prayed for our children’s welfare, it is equally important to include prayers for their future spouse and their future married life. By doing so, we can help pave the way for strong, faith-based marriages and family life for the next generation.

Dearest Lord, we pray that our children will have a lifelong spouse that will love them despite their imperfections. Someone who can withstand temptations that may shake their faithfulness in their married life.

As you are a forgiving God, may they also learn to forgive each other when circumstances ask them to. May they also find somebody who trust You to make their marriage work no matter what challenges come their way.

Lastly, may they have someone who is prayerful and God fearing which is a good foundation in every married life.
