Celebrating SoCCom Day on Independence Day

On June 12, 2024, the Archdiocese of Davao will celebrate Social Communications Day (SoCCom Day), coinciding with Philippine Independence Day. This year’s theme, “Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Wisdom of the Heart: Journeying Together as a Synodal Church Towards One Nation,” emphasizes the harmonious blend of technology and human empathy. A highlight will be the insightful talk by Fr. Ulysses Cabayao, SJ, exploring the role of AI in fostering inclusivity and diversity within the Church.

The event also honors the dedicated efforts of Parish and GKK SoCComs throughout 2023 with an awards ceremony. This celebration highlights the importance of effective communication in strengthening our faith community, aligning with the broader national spirit of unity and progress. As we commemorate our independence, let us also celebrate our collective journey as a Synodal Church, guided by wisdom of the heart and innovation.
