Solo Parents Encounter Slated this July

“Every encounter with the Lord is another chance”, says Bukas-Loob sa Diyos Solo Parents Class Shepherd Ma. Cristina R. Samson.

Widow/widower, separated from spouse, single unwed parents, parent with incapacitated or disabled spouse, spouse of an OFW, and single with adopted children can join the Solo Parents Encounter (SPE) # 17 on July 4-6, 2014 here in Davao City.

The Solo Parent Encounter (SPE) is a pastoral program of the Bukas Loob sa Diyos (BLD) Covenant Community.  By and through the grace of the Holy Spirit working through the Pastoral team and the sponsoring Solo Parents, this weekend encounter will help provide the solo parent-invitees a renewal experience of forgiveness, healing and hope in an atmosphere of reflection, contrition and prayer.  The registration fee is P 1, 500 only.

For interested donors or attendees, one may contact Ms. Samson at 0932-698-3869 or see the Class Shepherd personally at San Pablo Church, Juna Subdivision, Matina, before the start of their weekly prayer meeting, Thursdays, 7:00 PM.

Aside from the existence of a support group and linkages, Benny Brion relates:  I have been a solo parent for 15 years. I was anointed as a covenant disciple for 3 years after completing a four-year formation.  My apostolate with the solo parent is a part of the support group; to be of service to the wounded children of God.” 

BRION: “We assist the solo parents in their spiritual needs, acts as counselor to them using the Word of God.  In this way, we bring them closer to God in times of challenges of life.”
