SILP SocCom Upskilling on Graphic Design

SILP GKK Secretaries, SoCCom Members, Seminarians and Parish staff participated in the “Mastering the art of Graphic Design Seminar-Workshop” held November 12 at the Parish Formation Building.

“Ecclesial art is simple hence the message is direct,” the speaker, Jornie Joy Hinay said. Hinay is a Religious Education teacher of Holy Cross of Davao College Inc. When he was a novice at the Salesian Religious Community in Cebu, he was sent for trainings on virtual graphic arts which he has passionately enhanced.

Hinay further said that this seminar-workshop aims to provide a platform for individuals to delve into the world of graphic design, exploring both its artistic and practical aspects. It recognizes the power of visual elements in leaving a lasting impact. Moreover, it aims to equip participants with skills and knowledge needed to create stunning visual compositions.

Loreta Juarez, Parish Pastoral Coordinator facilitated this seminar to give opportunity on enhancing the skills among the GKK secretaries and SoCCom members on Information and technology, to be creative in sending out information, announcements or invitations in the GKK and in the Parish as well. It is deemed that this shall be a series of graphic design formation. Parishioners are delighted and cannot wait for the workshops to come. (Leah Ibañez)
