Be Fulfilled, Serve

The Caritas Davao Foundation, Inc. had its 51st anniversary celebration last June 12, 2023 at San Pedro Cathedral Parish. The members of the Caritas Davao Foundation Inc. conducted a program where all of them gathered together and had a feast as a celebration of God’s faithfulness.

After witnessing God’s faithfulness throughout the 51 years of their service to the people, all of its members were convicted to come together and give their praises and thanksgiving to God.

The ministers, volunteers, and some of the beneficiaries from different parishes religiously started the celebration by attending the Holy Mass, praying for God’s forgiveness, meditating on the Word of God, and thanking Him for His sustaining grace upon Caritas Davao Foundation, Inc. within its 51 years of existence–this is how they started the celebration.

Rev. Fr. Voltaire P. Dimol presided the mass and led the members of the Caritas Davao Foundation, Inc. to thank God for His faithfulness and earnestly ask for His continuous sustaining grace upon the foundation. Rev. Fr. Dimol also let them commemorate the sacrifices and the works of the late Archbishop Antonio Mabutas–the founder of the foundation–and to continually imitate him in doing the ministry of service to the people for God’s glory and His honor.

Rev. Fr. Dimol–in his last message–has given the members of the foundation his last words, saying, “The heart of the Gospel is God’s love and compassion.” With this, he encouraged them to fully understand the mission of Caritas Davao Foundation, Inc., and that is to imitate Jesus Christ and His services especially to the poorest of the poor by denying oneself and becoming more merciful, compassionate, generous, and loving to the people continually.

If all the members of Caritas Davao Foundation, Inc. will continue to keep themselves united in committing themselves to serving the people, God’s love and His faithfulness will always be evident in what they are doing; and, their service will be God’s way to bless them, to grant the desires of their hearts, and to keep their hearts on fire for the ministry, for the people, and for the glory of God.
