Catechists to give synopsis of FDM at KSP’s

The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal launched its annual Flores de Mayo and marked the beginning of this month of flowers for Mama Mary during the children’s Holy Eucharist last Sunday, May 4, celebrated by Father Urbano Pardillo, where the 25 GKKs offered bouquet of flowers for Mama Mary.

The catechists were tasked to give catechesis on the Flores de Mayo for the GKK children from Mondays until Fridays in the entire month of May.  The synopsis on the same catechesis will also be given to the GKK members every Kasaulogan sa Pulong this month.  On May 30, the parish will parade the traditional Santacruzan for Reyna Elena and her cohorts.  It will be participated by the GKK youth.  The Theological framework on the Santacruzan will also be included in the catechesis.  The Flores de Mayo will culminate onMay 31 on the Commemoration of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Saint Elizabeth.

The OLLP Flores de Mayo and the Santacruzan were headed by the Pastoral Coordinator Ana Norbe, the Head Catechists Beverly Alcayde and the PSP Coordinator Elenita Biag.  The entire activities were blessed by the OLLP Parish Priest Father Dexter C. Veloso.

The procession of the Santacruzan will be handled by Salvador Ibabao as overall in-charge to be assisted by Joseph Jimenez.  Vicky Macaday will be in-charge for care and preparations of the Sagalas and angels; Ruben Sumagang will prepare the sound system; and Lito Puliran will oversee the peace and security.  The preparation for the Santacruzan was supported by the PPC Socio-Cultural Committee spearheaded by Ma. Iris A. Melliza.
