This was joined and participated by different Law Enforcement Agencies such as the PNP-HPG, Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU), CTTMO, 38 motorcycle rider groups from Davao Region with a total of 154 riders, and of course, the LTO RXI officials and employees. After the said motorcade, all motorcycle riders gathered at the LTO gymnasium, and a lecture on Defensive Driving was conducted to help them understand the right attitude toward road safety.

Road Safety Drill and Theoretical Driving Course

November 21, Monday – The LTO RXI, in coordination with DepEd RXI, especially the Baracatan National High School and Elementary School, successfully launched the Road Safety Drill for 4th and 5th Grade Students. The said drill aims to educate younger students on how to use and cross pedestrian lanes. More than fifty (50) students participated and were positioned in Crossing Bayabas Toril, where pedestrian lanes are present. This Road Safety Drill is very important since children have higher vulnerabilities to road traffic injuries because of physical and developmental limitations, and they have difficulty estimating the speed of approaching vehicles.

On the same day, a Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) was also administered by LTO Lecturers in Junior and Senior High School with a total of 250 attendees. This TDC is a 15-hour lecture covering all LTO relevant laws, rules and regulations, defensive driving, topics on license and registration, handling emergency situations, and maintenance on motorcycles and motor vehicles. The lecture aims to properly educate these students because some might already be driving even if they are not yet licensed.
