Bangkal parish catechists join Ignatian retreat

Five catechists from the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal joined the four-day Ignatian Retreat along with other catechists of the John XXIII Catechetical Center of the Davao Archdiocese last April 1-4, 2014, held simultaneously in three separate venues.

Glenda Jimenez, Richie Reyes and Enriquita Orillo joined with other catechists at the Religious of Notre Dame of the Mission’s Balay Euphraise RNDM International Formation Center in Catalunan Grande, with Fr. Leif Simbahon, DCD, as their Retreat Master; while Elenita Biag and Marilyn Lallen joined with other group at the Dominican Sisters of the Trinity’s Dominican House of Prayer in Matina Shrine Hills with Fr. Bobby Buenconsejo, SJ, as their Retreat Master.  The third group of catechists were housed at the Saint Benedict Retreat House in Ulas.

Their Ignatian Retreat was spiritually guided with the Lectio Divina for the Grace of Inner Stillness and Openness, the Ignatian Contemplation for the Grace of Discerning and Sensitive Heart and the Examen for Grace of Seeing, Knowing and Understanding Myself.

The OLLP catechists were very grateful to their respective Retreat Masters for their spiritual enhancement along with other catechists in this Season of Lent.  They were also thankful to the individuals who assisted them in their retreat, especially to Sr. Maribel Cadorna of the Dominican House of Prayer.
