GSL’s Parish-Wide Assembly-OMPH Bajada

The GKK Servant Leaders (GSL) of the thirty-two (32) Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK) of the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish-Bajada, gathered last October 2, 2022, from 8:30 in the morning till 12:00 in the afternoon for a half-day GSL’s parish-wide assembly to come up with a GKK Pastoral Planning output.

The activity started with an orientation given by parish worker, Sharon Batoto on what to expect from the participants followed by the opening prayer and singing of the inspirational song “Ang Tawag” facilitated by Babino Casanaan.

Fr. Cris Mostajo, CSsR, parish priest was the facilitator. He shared the importance of the output that day. He asked the participants to share and discuss among themselves respective experiences and recommendations with the purpose of using it in the GKK plan for the next two (2) years. He reminded the participants to make use of S-specific, M-measurable, A-attainable, R-relevant, and T-time-bound metrics in the planning of activities. The questionnaires sent in advance sought to gather information on GKK members (active, or inactive), number of Mansibados, and attendance of members in the Kasaulogan sa Pulong (KSP). Inquiry for specific training, and seminars the GKK needs were also asked. Identification of problems that the GKK faces aside from poor economic conditions were done. And of course the participants were asked to suggest ideas and/or activities to strengthen the GKKs. Fr. Cris made mention the mission of Jesus Christ’s ministry as the criteria in the evaluation of the past activities.

From the respective outputs, the parish can now draw its annual planning on what training and seminars they need to give for the year and maybe for the next two (2) years. (Marieta V. Comighud | OMPH Parish SoCCom)
