ALS Teachers celebrate World Teachers’ Month with the commitment to transform learners’ mind and heart
With vigor and hopes, ALS Teachers pledge to take care of learners’ transformation of mind and heart as they journey the school year 2022-2023 at Tibungco District, Davao City.
District ALS Coordinator Alvin M. Olaer spearheaded several programs that could interest the learners in their studies and build in them the confidence to continue despite the trials and difficulties of life as an ongoing process of transformation. He initiated Spiritual Enhancement and short orientations that motivate the learners.
Programs were supported by teachers and some stakeholders of the Alternative Learning System all over the district of Tibungco. Learners were encouraged to listen to the discussions that could touch their life’s perspective.
Thus, several learners were moved spiritually and transformed into eagerness and interest to pursue studies through ALS programs. In an interview, a learner told the reporter, “… gusto ko makahuman og eskwela para pud sa akong kaugmaon…”.
“… dool kaayo akong dughan sa mga learners nga naningkamot nga makahuman,” ALS teacher, Doña Mercedes CLC Jack Montano said. He also mentioned that he will help the learners to look at life positively as they journey towards academic success. Also, according to Sir Arnold Cervantes, ALS Teacher at Panacan Looban, it is his commitment to guide learners to success.
Finally, within this school year ALS teachers of Tibungco District vow to guide learners in fulfilling their life goals despite trials and difficulties. (Rusty Salazar Corsame)
