Listening and Walking with the Saints

The Gallery of Saints started last October 2018 which was done before All Saints and Souls’ day. Sadly, the supposed yearly event was halted due to the pandemic but will resume this coming October 23-30, 2022 with the theme: “Listening and Walking with the Saints”.

The team and staff of the DXGN headed by Fr. Ritsche Gamaya, have been conducting the event in collaboration with the parishes, congregations, schools, and communities who in turn also serve as exhibitors. They will bring their own Saint statues.

The gallery of saints, which we will be held this coming October 23-30 at the SM Ecoland Annex, is emphasizing evangelization of the real essence of Halloween. Through this event the real meaning of Halloween will be promoted and as well as the deeper meaning of devotion to God by imitating the life of the saints in this time of new evangelization. Halloween is not about dressing up and wearing scary costumes and masks of dead people, but rather a beautiful celebration of communion in imitating the life of the saints.

Lastly, this beautiful event, is a reminder for that we too, will one day die, and should always strive to live good and holy lives like the saints. There is a need to honor the saints because they became holy to the best of their ability, just as God intended them to be. The Gallery of saints is honoring not only whom we know by name, but also those saints in heaven whose names are unknown.
