XACOSE celebrates Buwan ng Wika

The St. Francis Xavier College Seminary joined the whole education sector in celebrating the Buwan ng Wika. The culmination program was held on August 26 with different activities. It started with the Holy Mass at 8AM then followed by various competitions like Bayani Ka-Look-Alike, OPM hip-hop dance, and Ginoong XACOSE (Lakan). The afternoon competition included Larong Pinoy such as: Takyan, Luksong Kalabaw, Tumbang Preso, and Labay Tunga.

There was also a literary competition which was held days before the culmination program like essay writing, poem writing, and poster making. The culmination program was graced by the XACOSE formators: Fr. Orly Angelia, Fr. Adam Cajipo, Fr. Jeus Jardin, Fr. Calexto Peligrino, and Fr. Ruperto Jamili III. Four lay faculty members were present too: Corazon Mesiona, Juan Sagayno Jr., Dolores “Pop” Barcela, and Rowena Nuera where the lady faculty members served as the members of the panel of judges.

The XACOSE Buwan ng Wika celebration carries with the theme: Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika: Kasangkapan sa Pagtuklas at Paglikha. (Sem Roscarl Omboy and Sem Romar Jules Villaceran)
