An Inclusive Church
As human beings we do crave for inclusivity. We want to be invited, included and appreciated. Thus this act of coming and journeying together in this synod on synodality is something we didn’t realize we wanted, needed especially inside the Church.
Many Catholics have felt for years that their needs are abandoned and ignored, making them feel less valued. All the more that they sulk in wrongdoings because they cannot care less as they feel that the Church also doesn’t. God’s plan indeed is perfect, and as we have stepped onto our 500th year we began to change as a Church, for the better; a Church who’s closer, more intimate and again, inclusive.
It is like reliving that time when Jesus dined and interacted with sinners, that time when He favored the conversion of the world’s greatest sinners. Today, may this synod be the door that will lead us back to a more unified and inclusive Church as we hope answers to the concerns our believers have expressed.
