Saint look-a-like contest in the seminary

It is a moment of joy and love as the Catechist’s batch celebrates their “A Saint Look-a-like Contest” with the theme: Sa Seminaryo, Siya’y Aking Modelo held in Pre Theology Year (PTY) last March 9, 2014.

The event was participated by each cluster grouping representatives of PTY in ReMaSe namely: Saint John Marie Vianney, Saint Pedro Calungsod, Saint Isidore, and San Lorenzo Ruiz who portray such noble character and show great love for Christ.

The focus of this program is not just to know the saints more profoundly but to make us aware how to be holy in a way of imitating their manner of hope, faith and love. Sem. Emmanuel Pingul Jr., the socio-chairman of our community, emphasized in his opening remarks that “we come here together not because of the program itself, but because we want to see Christ’s presence, realizing to be happy and be holy throughout this program”.

Truly, the presence of our accompanying formators during the program really inspires us to deepen our motivation and discernment and helps us to persevere more on our chosen vocation.

For Christ’s extension of presence is vivid in priestly ministry which challenges us seminarians to imitate our formators, as we could appreciate more our life in following Christ’s discipleship through the process of the seminary formation.

Indeed, we are journeying with Christ who is the source of holiness and eventually through His grace and love become also a savior of souls of the Church in the near future.
