“Master of Encounter” – Pope Francis
A commentator made this remark when asked about the effect of living in a new culture of encounter. To my mind this is possible if one is open to dialogue. We in the Bishops-Ulama Conference (BUC) we are familiar with four ways of dialoguing, so to say. These we call Dialogue of Life, Dialogue of Collaboration, Dialogue of doctrinal experts, and dialogue of faith sharing.
I have already written several reflections on these in previous articles in my Shalom column.
Pope Francis says that the so called new culturation process demands the creation of processes of encounter which is part of the BEC pastoral program.
One problem is the Social Distancing, a health protocol of the Local Government Unit through the IATF.
But the essence of the new culture is personal encounter, even at a social distance of the health protocol.
