Bangkal KOTAS enlightened at convention

‘Spiritual, service and studies’.  These were the words of wisdom learned by 33 altar boys of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal as they joined the Altar Boys’ Convention at the St. Francis Xavier College Seminary last February 15.  These young boys led by their President Emmanuel Clyde Lopez and Treasurer Jomar Obayan, along with other altar boys from various parishes and Catholic schools in Davao Archdiocese, went last Saturday in the seminary for their annual convention.

The said convention was blessed by Father Russell Bantiles as the whole day activity was started with the Holy Eucharist.  The words of wisdom shared by Father Russell in his homily and inspirational talk enlightened the altar boys and inspired them a lot to continue their service in the Church as well to be serious in their studies in their respective schools as they enhance their personal spiritual life in Jesus.

These young altar servers were accompanied by the OLLP Mother Butler Mission Guild who sponsored and prepared them their lunch and snacks.  After a day of convention with full of learning, games and encounters, they went back to the parish so inspired, so dedicated and so delighted with their new experiences as they mingled in camaraderie along with the other altar boys of the entire archdiocese.
