An ignorant and stupid question?

This question appeared in US media. After the pandemic, will the Mass be the same?, some people ask.

Yes, my initial reaction was a shocking, “what an ignorant and stupid question”!

Google reported it from one of the Catholic newspapers in the United States. It really means one who asks this question does not know what the Holy Mass is. I can understand why many Catholics during the two years of pandemic without attending Mass in our parish churches have been praying and holding many rituals online even by priests, bishops, religious and lay leaders.

We know that none of these on-line religious rites and rituals can rise up to the dignity of the Eucharistic Sacrament in Holy Mass however beautiful and meaningful they are. Only the ordained priest can say, This Is My Body, This is my Blood on the Bread and Wine.

One who thinks otherwise is really ignorant and stupid. This will not happen among Filipino Catholics, hopefully.
