Assumption Parish children lectors activated

It’s indeed worth appreciating to have children lectors serving the mass full of life with their articulation in reading in the “Liturgy of the Word”. Sometimes with feedbacks, “they are good readers than the adults”.  When they commit mistakes at the altar people just laugh with consideration because they are still children.

Customarily, the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish at F. Torres St. under the SSS Fathers activate children lectors to serve the mass as readers during the annual Feast of the Sto.Niño in all eight masses. Certainly, these young “LECCOM” will become successors of the adult Lectors and Commentators. Hence, they are gradually trained through their participation in the Children’s and Youth Mass every 3rd and 4th Sunday of the month respectively at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Last Sunday, January 19, 2014, for the Zonal Mass at El Rio Vista the following children from the GKKs of Zone 9 served:

1st Reading – Jan Therese Cataylo – San Lorenzo Ruiz GKK

Psalms – John Paul Bilbao – St. Peter Julian Eymard GKK

2nd Reading – Mary Danielle Loma – Sto. Rosario GKK

Prayers of the Faithful – Rhea Danielle Birondo – San Nicolas GKK

Commentator  – Caryn ArchilleCarumba – San Nicolas GKK

Certainly, this feast of the Sto. Niño gives a chance for parents and educators to teach children to take an active interest and devotion to pray, do good works and offer sacrifices for the missionary work of the Holy Childhood. Hence, this gesture can be an opportunity for children to be like Jesus in his manhood imitating His virtues as good, loving, trustworthy, merciful and forgiving  Son. Thus, as we go to Him, likewise  let us be directed to God, the Father, as we journey through life. And all of these are for His greater honor and glory, now and forever.
