Our Lady of Lourdes Parish lines up activities for 2014

The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal, Davao City had already lined up series of activities for the year 2014.  The busy year for the laity started with a continuous recruitment for a two-year Theology Formation through IIREF for all interested laypeople, especially the lay leaders. The OLLP Vicariate School of Theology had already produced at least 30 lay graduates since it was introduced in 2010.

Also within these early days of this year, a thorough preparation began for the incoming parish fiesta which will be marked with week-long activities from January 31 until February 9.  This year’s parochial fiesta would be a colorful celebration to highlight the empowerment of the laity in the parish in respond to the challenges of the Year of the Laity.

The theme for this year’s OLLP fiesta is “Birhen Maria Among Inahan sa mga Katalagman Salamat, Imo Kaming Gipanalipdan ug Giubanan”.  This year’s fiesta celebration also includes welcome cocktails, larong Pinoy, and the evolution of variety presentations.

After the fiesta, various ministries and parish organizations had already set their respective recollections as preparation for their renewal of commitment during the commemoration of the Holy Week.  Details for the Holy Week were also initially planned out. More activities in OLLP were also set on the upcoming months up to this year’s season of Advent
