The end is near
“I’ve lived a life that’s full, I traveled each and every highway, But more, much more than this I did it my way.” These familiar words are sang by Frank Sinatra in his “My Way.” It is a song of hope, a hope based on living the fullness of life. But how can we live the fullness of life as Christians?
The end is near for us who try to live our Christian life by following the liturgical year. One Sunday more and we will start a new liturgical year.
The fullness of life of a Christian should be measured by how much one gives of himself. That is why, one might better ask oneself in this time of the pandemic, what is it that God has entrusted me? Have I taken good care of them not only for my benefit but for the benefit of God’s people? In this time of pandemic, how willing am I to give my best selflessly in order to lighten the load of my brethren who are less fortunate than I am? When I reach the end of my mission here on earth, will I share the joy of my Master?
