Immortalized through the Years

Every Christmas a special feeling comes to the depths of our hearts, not just a random feeling but one that is deep and penetrating. It’s because the Christmas celebration is linked to the birth of the universal Savior, Jesus Christ, reminding us that this season encapsulizes the whole trend of Jesus’ life as one of understanding, love and forgiveness.

As the world entraps itself in works that savor of greed, selfishness and narrowed perspectives, the life of Jesus stretches forth as one act of self-giving, teaching our world the values of love, mercy, understanding, compassion, and justice.

Naturally, for things to last the test of time, there must be some veracity to those beliefs or doctrines connected therewith. So it is with the yearly celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. So many people and saints attesting to the fact of Christ’s birth has made it an undeniable fact. It’s based on historical facts. So the Bible says: “The truth will set you free” (Jn. 8:32). That is the truth of Jesus Christ, Our Savior, most humble yet most powerful as Lord of lords and King of kings.

As we enter the New Year 2014, may I ask for your prayers that God grant that this year produce greater respect for human life, for the environment, and promote peace worldwide. And may God’s peace reign in all your hearts as we all tread and follow the footsteps of God’s only Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, Lord of all and King of kings.

A meaningful Christmas and Blessed New Year 2014 to all of you, God’s servants, who seek to follow the ways of justice and peace in our world.
