Resumption of Holy Mass with the public in attendance
In the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) of Davao City, Circular Number 17 of Archbishop Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao, states that “public masses are already allowed, beginning July 1, 2020, from Monday to Saturday only.” There will be no Sunday Mass because of the Food and Medicine Pass (FM Pass). The said circular further reminds us that we “should cooperate with the Civil Authority who has the obligation to protect the welfare of the people.”
This should lead us to a sense of gratitude for this progress we see in our level in this most trying time. Many who already have gone back to Mass became emotional including some priests seeing their flock before them during the Mass.
Yet, some of us might feel inconvenient to observe the protocols in this “new normal” times. Others might also feel banned and left out because of their age and health conditions. For this we need to be more patient and understanding for the betterment of our brothers and sisters. Again, by being cooperative and obedient, we show our charity towards others.
Let continue praying for each one to be healed by God, our true healer.
