Davao’s Vicar General laid to rest
Msgr. Leonardo ‘Nards’ Vicente’s remains have been laid to rest last May 1, Feast of St. Joseph the Worker.
Archbishop of Davao Romulo G. Valles officiated the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal for the late vicar general who succumbed to his illness last April 25.
The wake was held at the San Pedro Cathedral but no visitors were allowed to attend except the family members due to the threats of Covid-19.
The Holy Mass only had few in attendance in compliance to the social distancing policy of the City Government of Davao to avoid the spread of Corona Virus Disease which also resulted to the cancellation of public masses in the city and in other parts of the world.
The ceremony was also broadcast over DXGN 89.9 Spirit FM.
The remains were buried at the Roman Catholic Cemetery where other deceased members of the clergy were entombed. (JFF/DCHerald)
