Good Shepherd and the good sheep

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He opens the gate for his sheep. He leads them to green pastures. He comes not to destroy but gives his sheep life in all its fullness. His sheep know his voice and follow him.

Today’s shepherds in this time of COVID 19 crisis are our government officials, medical practitioners, military officers, private agencies, church people and all front liners who have opened their doors and selflessly sacrificed their time and energy in planning and executing for the protection of each one of us against this disease.

The good sheep are those who obey and listen to the executive orders of our government officials and pastoral advisories of our church leaders. They are those who recognize and pray for the success of the efforts of our leaders in our combat against this pandemic. They do not complain nor grumble knowing that each of us can be a victim or a victimizer of this invisible “wolf”.

Have trust in Jesus the Good Shepherd and be a good sheep!
