Public Masses are suspended
The suspension of Masses with public attendance and participation in the Archdiocese of Davao and other dioceses throughout the country is not cowardice. It is neither an indication of defeat on the part of the Church nor a triumph of evil. It is rather our concerted action to help stop the deadly spread of the COVID-19. It is an act of charity for others.
The faithful would greatly help our priests fulfill such directive by staying in their homes and praying with our priests in spirit while they say Masses privately in their respective parishes. If the faithful wish their intentions to be included in the Mass, they may visit their parish office for their offering to pray for souls, healing, thanksgiving and other intentions.
Our very own DXGN 89.9 Spirit FM radio broadcast and Facebook live streaming makes the celebration of the Mass available for all. Some parishes are also having live streaming of their liturgical celebrations via Facebook. These means of social communications are made available that the faithful may not be deprived of the celebration of the Sacraments.
May Mama Mary, Mother of the Holy Eucharist, intercede for us!
