The Immaculate Conception: God takes the initiative

No matter how man runs away from God, God searches for man. This has been the love story between the Lord who forgives and finds ways and man who gets lost.

The dawn of finding man because of sin opens with the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mother, Mary. To prepare for the sinless Word-made-flesh to be born of a woman necessitates a sinless womb in the person of the Mama Mary who was conceived without sin. God always finds a way to bring us back to him no matter how weak we are.

It is also our call to take action as followers of the Lord. We become fruitful if we take the first step in reconciling with others, in innovating things, in extending assistance to the victims of calamities, in reaching out to the rejected and the needy. Let us move from mere observers to active participants in the work of saving ourselves and others. Let love, peace, joy and community life begin with us like Mama Mary who made the Lord Jesus available to all of us.
