Kiwanis welcomes new members, vows to more actions not words
Kiwanis International Philippine South District Division 8 has welcomed its new members during the ceremony held October 26.
The ceremonies were officiated by Lieutenant Governor Leopoldo Dumuk who welcomed the new Kiwanians who enjoined to act more in helping the children.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
Different clubs under the Division 8 of Kiwanis together with their immediate past presidents, newly elected presidents, other officials and members have converged at MuzikHaven Resto Bar at F. Torres St. during the affair.
Kiwanis Club of Central Davao immediate past president Engr. Ma. Gloria G. Sorrera said that Kiwanis will continue to serve the children through their various projects, as reflected on the Kiwanis theme: Res, Non Verba (Action, not Words).
She added that her club under its new president Engr. Roberto Mamaril will continue the good things that were started and hopefully they will be able to do more great things for the welfare of the children especially those belonging to the marginalized families.
