On Corpus Christi Sunday
June 23, 2019 was a red letter day for St. Francis Xavier Parish-Tibungco.
After the first mass at 5:00 AM, there was a procession in honor of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Then at 7:00 AM, 60 plus Knights of the Altar were sent forth, 24 of which were new and accepted by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jhun Gimeno.
Lastly, 98 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) duly appointed by Archbishop of Davao and CBCP President Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D. were sent forth during the 9:00 AM Mass.
The Certificate of Appointment which was read by Fr. Jhun Gimeno says that the appointment carries with it the privilege and the right to distribute Holy Communion to the faithful within the confines of St. Francis Xavier Parish according to the norms and regulations set by the Church Law and is valid for one (1) year from June 23, 2019.
