CCRS Bangkal Celebrated 16th year

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (CCRS) of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish celebrated its 16th anniversary in a simple but spirit-filled celebration last May 30, 2019. Sixteen years since the movement was created relative to the birth of The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal. The initial leadership and membership who are OLLP parishioners were from the CCRS San Pablo Parish, the mother parish. With their objective to bring the movement to Bangkal. The movement then start doing its regular activities such as prayer meetings at the chapel of The Most Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Central Park Subdivision, Phase 2 as the temporary venue since OLLP church building and pastoral building were still to be constructed that time.

The previous coordinators were: The late Sister Felonila Dacer, Bro. Antonio Dacer, Bro. Ruben Sumagang, Sisters Irene Lobetos and Catherine Medialdea. And I, Marilyn Nalla, the incumbent Coordinator, who assumed office on June of 2016.

Our regular activities includes but not limited to: (1) participates in the monthly gathering of the Archdiocesan Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement of Davao (ACCRMD) at the Christ The King Formation Center Bago Aplaya every 3rd Sunday of the month. (2) Reaching out; visits GKK within the territorial jurisdiction of OLLP to encourage GSLs and members of the GKK through the help of the Holy Spirit who continue to enflame the fire of love for service. (3) Conducts Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar (CLSS) annually. (4) Support youth members by sending them to different seminars and formations which aim to enhance their knowledge and leadership skill. Youth occupies the 30% of the total membership in which majority of them come from the GKKs of Sto. Nino Bulusan and Immaculate Conception Taal. (5) Monthly Mass is celebrated for the group every last Friday of the month.

The CCRS Core group leaders and members are in great joy to reach 16 years in service to God and His people in spite of many trials and challenges which among them are; unimpressive attendance during the weekly prayer meetings, some core group leaders are in-active, and the financial capacity to address the need especially during big event. In all situations we still remain strong and able to survive. Proven that in all circumstances God provides.

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (CCRS) is a spiritual movement with an emphasis on having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Accepting Christ as our Lord and allowing Him to work in us through the Holy Spirit. “You will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.” Acts 1:8
