ALS Bridging Class is onging
Alternative Learning System Tibungco district A&E learners have attended the first schedule of Bridging Class last Sunday, April 28 for this year 2019 held at Panacan Community Learning Center at Crossing Malagamot, Panacan, Davao City.
“Dapat maningkamot kamo kay pinaagi niini maandam kamo diha sa kolehiyo,” Sir Alvin Olaer, MAT the District Coordinator’s message during the orientation conducted prior to the introduction of formal lesson per course.
There will be four courses offered: the Basic Grammar, Creative Writing, Basic College Mathematics and Advance Algebra to be taught by the selected Instructional Managers who has a background and expertise with the subject matter. They served as Instructors to the subject.
Other IMs and Infed Facilitators have shown their support by means of preparing the classroom and guiding the learners on what to do before the Instructors started the class. Likewise, they also set the mode of the class into a real college environment by treating the learners as if college students. They practically followed the perspective of Outcome-based Education.
Rommel Matunog, a learner from the class of Sir Ernest John Logiver, LPT was so impressed with the strategy. “Dako kaayo akong pagpasalamat niini kay daghan gayod kami makat-onan,” Matunog uttered.
Other learners were so very happy too since this is already a chance for them to learn. They manifested it with the interest that they have shown in the first day of the class.
Ma’am Sheila Jael, one of the instructors who teach the Basic Mathematics, was so inspired upon meeting her students. “Ako gayod gipangandaman kini alang kanila na mga estudyante sa ALS,” Jael said in an interview.
Hence, the bridging class will cover the 5 Sundays within this summer period and estimately end on May 26 of this year. (Rusty Salazar Corsame, LPT)
