LTFRB continues fuel subsidy card distribution
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB XI) continued distributing Pantawid Pasada Cash Card, a P5,000 fuel subsidy, despite its deadline set last February 28.
OIC Regional Director Atty. Cattleya Acaylar reported that Region XI ranks second in the distribution rate throughout the country with 80.87% or 4,034 out of 4,988 cards.
“The cards are all produced and up to be claimed already but, among the reasons for the delay of the claiming of the cards is because the names registered are already deceased. The Land Bank of the Philippines would not release it so we need to replace the names of the card again,” Acaylar told reporters during the sidelines of the Mindanao Transportation Cooperation Congress.
Other reasons include OFW operators that still need to execute special powers of attorney to be done abroad and undergo consulate offices.
The LTFRB is also confident that they have done their part for the information dissemination campaign.
“We personally call them that their cards are already available and we post in our social media sites,” Acaylar added.
The 954 PUJ operators are encouraged to claim their Pantawid Pasada Cards at the LTFRB XI office at Balusong Avenue, Matina, Davao City from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and may contact numbers 297-2417 or 297-0181.
The LTFRB, meanwhile, announces that No PUV Driver’s Seminar means no Pantawid Pasada Card. Those who would deem to attend the seminar may enlist their name at the said office to schedule. (Julianne A. Suarez)
