Mother to all CCMD retreatants
With full of energy and love, a mother from Panacan and a Pangulo sa Pagpanudlo (PSP) in San Miguel Parish Panacan commits herself in the Archdiocesan Campus Ministry of Davao this AY 2019-2020.
The Catholic Campus Ministry of Davao (CCMD), a pastoral agency of the Archdiocese of Davao, has become a second home to Ma’am Nida Crismas, a catechist and a mother, beginning the day she offered herself as a volunteer and facilitator.
In an interview conducted with Ma’am Nida Crismas, she said: “Dako kaayo ang akong kalipay nga makauban ang mga kabataan labina sa ilang pagpamalandong.” Adding that she is happy doing her tasks since she considers herself as the mother to the young ones who are attending the recollection or retreats.
The ministry gives formation such as recollection and retreat to the students of all non-Sectarian schools in Davao from elementary to college. Students experience the presence and love of God through the activities conducted during the recollection or retreat.
Crismas is volunteering herself to assist the main facilitator of the CCMD during scheduled recollection and retreat. It is her happiness and love towards the young people that moves her to commit just like a mother caring for her children.
Ma’am Nida is staying at the Nazareth Retreat House at Ulas Davao City whenever there is a recollection or retreat because it is where the recollections and retreats are held. (Rusty Corsame)
