Kanta Seminarista held at REMASE
As Paloma Faith’s quote says, real talent shines through regardless of how many others there are around you. Talent indeed is a gift but adding some spice to it such as using it with purpose is a blessing from God. Each of us is born with talent naturally but only a few are using it for good intentions.
However, seminarians from the Regional Major Seminary opts to use their talents with a meaningful goal. Thus, the Xavier Community held once again an event entitled “Kanta Seminarista II,” a concert for a cause showcasing the talents of the seminarians with the aim not just simply to perform but to raise funds for their project.
According to Rev. Fr. Reynaldo Retardo, Vice-Rector and Dean of Seminarians REMASE, the main reason of raising funds through the said concert is for the ongoing construction of the chapel of the seminary. He added that all proceeds raised are going directly to the intended project.
Aside from raising fund through ticket selling, they also accepted donations which gave the guests an access to the concert. The audiences had fun watching the performances. At the same time, they felt grateful for the opportunity to help the seminary.
The concert which was filled with joy and gladness was held at the Dennis A. Uy-SFX-REMASE Gymnasium. Indeed, the night that began at 7:30 ended with joyous atmosphere because of the success of the concert. (Christine Joy L. Rodriguez | HCDC MassCom Intern)
