Tips on Preventive Healing
Healing is an integral part of Jesus’ Ministry. Salvation comes from the Latin word salus which means “health”. This naturally would include physical health. To be saved is to be made “whole”. Christ came that we may “have life and have it more abundantly” (Jn 10:10). Unnecessary ailments cannot be part of an abundant life. Healing has two dimensions: reactive and proactive. Healing a sick person is reactive. Avoiding unnecessary ailments by staying healthy is proactive. While we may not be able to do reactive healing as Jesus did, we certainly can do proactive healing. This is preventive healing: fortifying the body, activating the millions anti-boy cells, boosting the immune system through natural means so that the body is well prepared to thwart off effectively the attack of any illness.
Preventive Healing starts with food intake. Our food should be our medicine and our medicine should be our food. It is the body that heals itself through nutritious foods. Tasteful foods are not necessary nutritious. Many, if not most of them, are unhealthful. Most nutritious foods are not tasteful. But such is the demand of our faith. While the road to physical wellbeing is constricted, the way to ailment is wide and alluring.
