New Kiwanis officers installed

DAVAO CITY—Growing Kiwanis from Good to Great.

This has been the dream and desire of Kiwanis International Philippine South District Division 8 which has recently installed its new officers and directors, October 27.

Distinguished Past District Governor Ernesto Baluyot presented the new sets of officers to the members and they took their oath during the installation rites.

Held at the Grand Regal Hotel, the members of the Division 8 of Kiwanis International have witnessed the turn-over of leadership from Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor Jonathan Centino to the new Lieutenant Governor Gilbert Palacol.

From seven clubs, the Division 8 has grown into 13 clubs, with most of their officers present during the installation of officers.

Clubs like Kiwanis Club of Central Davao headed by Pres. Ma. Gloria G. Sorrera has molded new leaders who have created their own respective clubs as well.

Vice President for Internal Affairs of KC of Central Davao Irelan Abapo has created Kiwanis Club of Duwaling Dabaw while Youth Vice President Roberto Mamaril has created Kiwanis Club of Supremo Davao together with their respective sets of members.

Aside from the installation of officers and directors, Kiwanis also had the charging of different committee chairs for Kiwanis 2018-2019.

One of the committees is the Media and Public Relations who will be taking charge of spreading the information about Kiwanis through traditional media and social media.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

The entire Division 8 expressed their excitement to organize different activities for the new Kiwanis Year for the benefit of the children of Davao.
