Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Obrero installed

Archbishop of Davao Romulo G. Valles has installed the new parish priest of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Obrero.

In a ceremony held October 21, Fr. Emmanuel Gonzaga was installed as parish priest together with his parochial vicar Fr. Calexto Peligrino.

During the ceremony, the archbishop has introduced the parish priest to his Parish Pastoral Council, GKK leaders and parish workers.

In his homily, the archbishop called on the faithful to nurture their faith and keep Jesus alive in their memory.

He also told them to treasure their faith as true happiness and joy will come into their life if they treasure their Catholic faith.

“Think of the gift of faith that we have,” the archbishop said.

He added that the priests play a role in keeping their memory of Jesus alive through the sacraments.
